Family, Alignment, and Position
Apostolic Center and House/Marketplace/Micro-Church Conference Report, July 14–16

The Lord gave us an amazing conference in Kaohsiung, the main city in southern Taiwan. We felt the Lord tell us to hold it there because it would help open up that entire region for Him.

What was most amazing though was how the Lord led us. I have long felt that the purpose of our conferences is not primarily for teaching, but that we operate as the body of Christ. Together with Him, we bring about changes in the heavenly realms that affect all of us on earth. To me it’s similar to what we see in Revelation 19:14, which states: “And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.” When we meet together in submission to the Lord and worship Him, then He himself leads us forth as His army to execute changes and to do the things that He wants. Of course, the result is great joy and blessing for us as we participate with Him.

The conference was packed, and there were nearly 100 attendees from overseas: Japan, China, Hong Kong, Korea, Russia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. I had expected the conference would deal with the “nuts and bolts” of apostolic centers and how to run them. That’s what I prepared for, but the Lord led us in a different direction. He gave us three key words: family, alignment, and position.

  • Family—We are family and must see ourselves as the family of God. If I give myself to His family, then He will bless my family. Likewise, it is absolutely necessary that we allow the Lord to heal us in relation to our own families. Only then can He bring us to the levels He wants to.
  • Alignment—Once we recognize that we are family, we must align ourselves with the particular family He has given us. We cannot allow the “vagabond spirit” to operate and cause us to wander from place to place. Yes, we can and should have multiple connections, but in the end, we need to align with the spiritual family God has prepared for us.
  • Position—Once we are aligned, we will find that God properly positions us. We will find more and more opportunities arising. Likewise, connections and doors will also open. Many, many things will fall into place. In fact, things that we once strove for while in “vagabond mode” will now just open up and be given. Hallelujah.

In conclusion, I am so thankful for this conference because I know we are moving ahead into what the Lord wants us to be—His family—and a people growing into His character. The conference itself was joyful, and the presence of the Lord was so strong. Wow! Finally, we are left secure in the knowledge that the Lord will continue to do the following things: develop us as family; bring His people into alignment; and put us in the positions that He wants for us. Amen!

One of the highlights of the conference was Mike’s message on how to develop as a person of God. Also, more information on the conference may be found on Arise 5 Taiwan’s Facebook page.

Thanks for praying.

Tammuz, the Fourth Month of the Hebrew Year, June 25–July 23

Don’t be surprised if you feel pressure from the enemy. But don’t allow yourself to be pushed down. Likewise, don’t become dull and complacent. God is pouring a fire upon His people. He wants us to burn brighter and brighter. In fact, this month should be a time of increase and expansion.

The blessings for the month may be found at http://arise5.com/B48at.
